Action & Advocacy
Co-Conspiring in supporting E.J focused collaborative opportunities towards increasing nonpartisan environmentally focused community ‘civic engagement’ at the local and state level. In addition, we actively engage in community action & advocacy by supporting activities like finding funding, sharing resources, connecting residents to environmentally focused trainings to build our capacity to support our own communities and disseminating collective outputs. Teatrico AZ(LAND)
We work to increase civic engagement and awareness through our Teatrico AZ(LAND) event. Teatrico AZ(LAND) is inspired by the work and legacy of Rodolfo Corky Gonzalez, who was among many things an environmental activists. Corky Gonzales along with fellow farm workers and Latinx activists created what is called Teatro Campesino. Corky saw the power of art in raising awareness about the farm worker struggle. Teatrico AZ(LAND) leverages artistry by partnering with local Arizona artist to raise awareness and engage participants about the environmental inequities present in our communities.
Mothers Day Earth Day Event
Our annual ‘Mothers Day Earth Day’ event brings together community stakeholders, artists, and resources to celebrate all nurturers of life on this planet. Held in May, on Mothers Day, this event works to activate local greenspaces, connecting community members to partnering environmental stakeholder organizations, resources, and participating opportunities. We come together to honor our biological or chosen mothers and the ultimate life bearer, our planet Earth.
